Will the next Firmware update include all previous updates or will I need to do each one separate?
And is there a chance of screwing up the BCS if the firmware update somehow aborts midstream? I recall killing an old device way back when after doing a firmware?
Firmware Updates
Re: Firmware Updates
You can just do the latest one.
I haven't heard of anyone bricking their BCS-460 yet, although I know people get nervous. A Hard Reset will cure most any hiccup. If all else fails, I'll 'unbrick' it if you cover shipping to/from ECC.
FYI, we're working on a fairly big update, v2.0, that will have some significant improvements. Its due to be complete in a few weeks, in case you want to wait.

Re: Firmware Updates
Yes, I was planning to wait for the 2.0 as I did not see a reason to jump up to 1.3 - kind of interested in no JAVA to see if I can run it on my ASUS eee (which is the worst piece of computing garbage I have bought in 25 years). The ASUS Linux won't auto update Java and the BCS won't run on whatever it is that is currently loaded in that system.
