Is ECC / BCS-46X still alive?
I have been busy with other things in life for the better part of this year. Looks like there have been very few (if any) updates to firmware, no product in stock, and only a post a month from ECC since May... Am I missing something? Feels like I just woke up in an episode of The Walking Dead. Last ...

Re: RIMS tube PID settings
What's wrong with the first configuration (graph) you showed?
Looks like your mash ramped steadily and hit your setpoint. The RIM's tube oscillated but never appeared to get too hot (IMO), in fact not more than about 5f above your setpoint. What improvement are you looking for?

Re: My setup after firmware 3.4.2
Very nice, thanks for the details.
I'm still running ancient firmware but really thinking about updating and this thread is helping to push me that way.

Re: BCS power?
ed do you have more pictures of your control panel build? These have all been posted on HomeBrewTalk.com, but here ya go. Is there anything in particular you want to see? http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af57/edshepherd/IMG_3324.jpg http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af57/edshepherd/IMG_3329.jpg ...

Re: BCS power?
Bottom center of this picture you can see what I ended up doing with the wall wort.
It is a simple 2 wire receptacle zip tied to a DIN mount. Not what I was originally looking for but VERY simple.

Re: Customize your BCS web pages - coming soon!
This is outstanding. As soon as I got my BCS I started looking at how the data is stored and how it can be accessed and manipulated. This is 100 times further than I got and very cool. I'd like to be able to include/incorporate additional notes/instructions for each change in state. I'm looking forw...

Re: E-stop!
I'm going to have two 15-20A circuits in the box. Buying an estop that can handle 2x20A@110 isn't going to be cheap. If it won't work any other way, I might just put two GFI trip buttons in the box. Can the "All Stop" button be called by a Din somehow? B I agree with ECC about needing a t...

Re: Rims Tube - Temperature Swing
Thanks for the great information. When I ran the test with simple water, the probe placement didn't seem to matter much. I will switch the placement of my probes on my next batch and see what happens. It makes sense. My thought was that I was heating based off of the temperature of the wort coming ...
