Re: Toggle Help -Broken links

Yeah, there's a few broken links in the docs. We made the links version specific so there could be updated topics for each new firmware release, but we haven't stayed up on all the links. Might have to rethink this approach. The full docs are available here though: http://docs.embeddedcc.com/ You'll...

Re: BSC 462 Firmware will not update

Are you inlcuding the http:// in front of the IP address? It needs to be in that format - e.g. http://192.168.1.100

Re: BSC 462 Firmware will not update

Here's a few questions to get us started: What TFTP program are you using? Is the file you are trying to upload correctly named bcs460.bin? Where is the file located in reference to the TFTP file folder? What is the IP numbering of the BCS vs the station running TFTP? Have you checked if your comput...

Re: BCS-460

The reset button is inside a small hole on the side of the unit. Since finder can see it, you could temporarily set a static IP on your computer in the 192.168.0.x subnet to access it. Easier than resetting it if you have a config in it that you want to keep. In the future, setting a reservation for...

Re: BCS-482 - not all outputs appearing in editor

On your 460, you were limited to 6 outputs, all of which had configurable outs. The 482 (just like the 462) has the first 8 outputs as the configurable ones for various temperature control operations. Outs 0-7 can do duty cycle, hyseresis or PID temperature control in addition to direct on/off contr...

Re: BCS-482 - not all outputs appearing in editor

Sounds like maybe you just collapsed the display. Does the label "Output Control Direct On/Off" appear in the editor screen? Click that and it should expand to show the rest of the outputs.

Re: LED displays address change

With them disconnected, can you try using a DMM and see if the circuit is closed when the button is pressed? That will tell you if the button is defective. I'm not aware of any other way to set the address.

Re: Can't find the BCS

What model BCS and what firmware? The BCS defaults to DHCP. The easiest way to get started with it is to plug it into a router that will serve up an IP address.

Re: LED displays address change

Just push and hold the button - maybe a little harder. Never heard of one not being able to be programmed, but I do know from experience on mine that the little buttons can be a bugger to push and hold.

Re: BCS Utilities cannot connect

There have been 4 firmware updates since 4.0.0. Definitely start there.
