Re: BCS 462 locks up
I had a similar issue this weekend with a 460 after upgrading to 4.1.1... Never had the issue with 4.0.1 though. The webgui on an Android tablet and phone would both freeze up when alarms went active. I have a DIN that cancels the alarm so I would have to use it instead of hitting the dismiss alarm ...

Re: Flow Switch Ladder Logic?
My question is, now, how do I have my din assert the output (as needed) and also still allow process control to assert the output? I've tried a few iterations but usually end up with the output "sticking" closed. If you want to tie the DIN to controlling the output in ladder logic, then y...

Re: Flow Switch Ladder Logic?
I understand why this works the way it does now on 4.0 final, and I understand why it needs to be this way, but now I am lost as to what I need to do to make a manual switch work correctly. I had a DIN asserting an output directly in ladder logic, and even when the din was open, it still allowed pro...

Re: BCS-462 not starting up
Sorry, I'm confused, you say there is no router involved but then give the IP address on your laptop being distributed by (presumably) DHCP on your wireless router? If that is the case then that is likely the issue, even though you are directly connected to the BCS, the subnet that DHCP on your rout...

Re: BCS-462 update to v3.2 problems
Found what appears to be a huge problem... once I updated to 3.2 and restored my system config, it would no longer accept my password to log into the BCS!! I am 100 percent sure I have the right password, not so sure about admin being the account to log into. Any ideas!?

Re: Remote Access
I'm afraid that I might not have been complete with my instructions on the port forwarding... make sure that in your network configuration on your router that you tell it to route inbound requests from port 8080 of your outside IP address to the internal IP of your BCS on port 80. As long as you hav...

Re: Remote Access
On most home routers and or modems, port 80 inbound is not enabled. The most obvious place to look is on your router... most d-link, linksys, netgear, etc have a config page where you can set port forwarding. Basically what you need to do is set the port forwarding for port 80 to point to your inter...

Re: Using Temperature Ramping on a Freezer
Ok, so you are saying that if I wanted to use ramping to crash a beer that I should use a differential control with a swing of 3-4 degrees? I'm assuming that I set that when I set the ramping up for the state and assert the output with diff control?
Thanks,
Joe
