Re: set date and time in BCS-460?

Do you know how accurate the timers are over the long term (+/- seconds over 24hrs)? I was thinking I could program the BCS to countdown 21 hours then switch to the next state with a countdown of 3 hours then back to the first state. This way I can still flip on a switch at a certain time of day and...

Re: WIFI Option for BCS460

Here's my input on this: Go with DD-WRT!!! I replaced my main router with a Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH for range reasons (well worth the $80 and works a LOT better than the Apple Time Capsule it replaced). After doing this, I decided DD-WRT was the way to go. I picked up a Buffalo WHR-G300N for $40 and u...

Re: set date and time in BCS-460?

I'd like to second this request. I just purchased a plug-in heater for my diesel Jetta, and the first thing I thought of was using the BCS as my 24 hour timer. I know there's probably a workaround using one of the built in timers, but being able to say "Turn on heater at 4 AM on M-F and run for...

Re: Wiring Schematic for my simple setup

Just had another idea. I was interested in adding the volt/amp meters to my control panel (like Kal,on this page:http://www.theelectricbrewery.com/control-panel-part-2?page=9) The meters themselves require a +5VDC power supply. Could I use two outputs on the BCS-462 to power them? Kal uses a couple ...

Wiring Schematic for my simple setup

This will be my simple setup for a single vessel electric brewery. I have one pump and will be running one 4500W element. Eventually i'll have a 3 vessel system, with 2 4500W heaters and 2 pumps. Do you guys spot any glaring errors? Thanks! http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5205/5350853362_2f553a29a1_b...

Re: WIFI Option for BCS460

Just a quick question as I'm putting together a shopping list for my future BCS setup - Can this universal adapter be configured to work on a secure network? I'm assuming (hoping) i can simply "program" it on my laptop before connecting it to the BCS, that way it already has the name/passw...
