Re: BCS 4.0 Public Beta 1
Ok. The BCS is not bricked, so that's good. Did you try the default username/password combination? (admin/control) Using the 30s hard reset to go directly into firmware update mode will almost certainly not work for you unless you've done some specific configuration. Using the 10s (I aim for 15s) r...
Did it work fine on 4.0 before trying to downgrade? What is your network configuration? How are you locating it on the network?
The 4.0 firmware worked, but not fine. Renaming processes is bugged under IE and Chrome and the lack of WIN buttons is a deal breaker for me. Afte...

Re: BCS 4.0 Public Beta 1
Where can I send my bricked BCS462 for repair? Can you elaborate on why you think it's bricked? Because it is nonfunctional after upgrading to 4.0 and then downgrading back to 3.7.1. Even hard reset does nothing. ETA - unit was originally on 3.4.5 firmware, but that version is not available for dow...

Main control screen freezes after a few minutes
Temperature indicators are unresponsive, counters stop counting, but BCS still shows as connected. Switching to the Data Log screen (or any other screen) and returning to main control fixes the problem for a few minutes only. It does not appear that the BCS itself is locking up; it is only the displ...

Re: Better Probe Calibration technique
Got it, thanks. I must've been using an old URL. Very nice app, btw. This will be a huge time-saver.

Re: What thermowell fits a BCS-460 temperature probe
I thought I'd post the answer in case somebody else has trouble fitting a temperature probe into the the thermowell on one of those orange plastic carboy caps. I checked out the Brewer's Hardware probes and found that they make thermowells too. I ordered a couple and they are WAY better than the sto...

Re: Better Probe Calibration technique
Is there a new link to calibration program? It appears that google docs is now google drive and the above link is no longer valid. Thanks!

Data Logging limits
I am not clear on the difference between the two logging modes. Dynamic update also saves its data to the BCS, correct?
Is there a way to start a process and log its data directly to a PC hard drive? If not, what is the maximum log size and how much space does each sample use?
Thanks in advance.
