Re: BCS 4.0 Public Beta 3
Thanks to both of you. I finally got it going. I was just about to give up, but then I noticed somewhere along the line it had changed from WEP to WPA or something like that. Once I set that back to WEP, I could see the bridge after unplugging it from the modem. and then of course I could see the BC...

Re: BCS 4.0 Public Beta 3
It is a us Robotics Bridge usr5432. doing some research on it, I see it only takes 5 seconds on the reset button to put it back to factory defaults so I am guessing that is what happened. Now to see if I can figure out how to get it set back up the way I want.

Re: BCS 4.0 Public Beta 3
Thanks again Jon, Frustrating. The bridge worked fine before the BCS bricked. The lights on it are all lit. Not real sure of how to do any more testing on it to be sure. I just tried every IP address from .10 to .50 and nothing worked. It is about 50' from the house to the garage. If I was to run Ca...

Re: BCS 4.0 Public Beta 3
Jon, First of all thanks for sticking with me through all this. So I brought it back to the garage, deleted finder, and downloaded it again (the 4.0 version) just to be sure Still no joy on finding the BCS. I guess I would suspect the bridge, but it was working fine before I bricked the BCS. I tried...

Re: BCS 4.0 Public Beta 3
I just unplugged it from the modem and plugged it back in, then forced the modem to rescan the network and it worked this time. So What do I need to do to "set a DHCP reservation in your router" When I take it back to the garage, and hook it back up to the Bridge, what do I need to do to m...

Re: BCS 4.0 Public Beta 3
I am using the finder from here http://docs.embeddedcc.com/finder/ I have tried using every IP shown in the Modem and it has never worked, but maybe that is because I am going through a bridge? I am taking it into the house now and hooking it straight into the modem. The Modem has 3 cables hooked to...

Re: BCS 4.0 Public Beta 3
The Windows Firewall was off, I went into my router and turned its firewall off. turned off my virus program Did a 15 second reset. Still the finder util can't find it. I looked through the Westell router settings and didn't see anything about setting DHCP Reservation, but again, I am a network dumm...
