Re: 5 volt 4-wire PWM fan wiring

I would not do it that way. I would hook up 12 Vdc gnd to the fan gnd. I would put in a SSR with the 12 vdc + on the load side and the other load to the fan 12 vdc +. The bcs Out to the control of the ssr and the bcs gnd to the ssr gnd

Re: 1st Brew Day- Alarm Question

- the goal is to have remote control via internet to monitor temps & make adjustments.... I can log into my brewery with the IPhone (In a Service Area) or a different computer (Internet Connected). It is fairly easy once set up. I have a paid  DNS Service where I do not care if my Public IP c...

I have a Wall Wart Power supply that I can take. My BCS in the Brewery is wired to a Larger 12 vdc Power supply. I l...

Re: HowTo: Voice control of BCS with Amazon Alexa

Nothing better than "Alexa, Turn on Brew Kettle Burner". I use it to turn and off lots. I rarely touch the computer on a Brew Day now. 1. Water Valve "Alexa, Turn on Firehose". "Alexa, Turn Off Firehose". Great when cleaning by myself 2. Burners: "Alexa, Turn on Brew Kettle Burner". "Alexa, Turn Off...

Re: Config Migration

sometimes you have to add a trailing “/“ to the ip. So try Http://192.168.0.201/ if your up is 192.168.0.201 You can also try one of the other utilities and enter the ip there You can still use Manual Control of any out as long it is not controlled by a process. When you open the BCS, it is in a Man...

Re: Digital LCD Fan Tachometer Display

Cheap enough to try. Worse you can do is blow the meter and maybe the fan.

Along those lines, why are you using PWM fans? Normal Fans under BCS Hysteresis control may do the job you want them to do.

Re: Digital LCD Fan Tachometer Display

I would assume that the Tach wire is just a pulse off a hall effect sensor. You would need a microprocessor. LCD and program to read it. You can go to "https://maker.pro/arduino/tutorial/how-to-use-a-hall-effect-sensor-with-arduino" to get an idea of using the Hall Effect sensor that is built in to ...
