Re: BCS 4.0 Public Beta 1

Creating a large instantaneous jump in set point will cause the integral term to accumulate an extremely large value, resulting in a significant overshoot when the temperature reaches the setpoint. This could be avoided by disabling the integral term during ramp, but as far as I know, there's no me...

Re: BCS 4.0 Public Beta 1

Hey Jon,
Would you be willing to post how you've constructed your process for the hop additions?

Your demo unit is in need of a reset, and well, I can't seem to find a good "how to" for this.

Thanks! :D

Re: Adjustable duty cycle and temp setpoints

And firmware 3.7.0 breaks something in this... Be advised you'll not be able to use the PID style displays if you use these Analog thermometers and set point indicators. The Analogs still work 100%, however if you switch to the pid Temp0 shows as a blank circle. While 3.7 does have PID indicators th...

Re: Temp Controller Widget

So cool to be able to see where I've set the temps, and be able to adjust on the fly without changing from the main screen....

Re: Mash tun not hot enough

+1 to what Jon said. Additionally, Rice Hulls for the win and make sure your water to grain ratio is above 1.5:1 (closer to 2.5 for Wheat beers) Every time I've had issues with bad mash efficiency I can trace it back to fact I forgot to put rice hulls in the mash, or my water to grain ratio was too ...

Re: Adjustable duty cycle and temp setpoints

What would be awesome is if we could get a JS file with just the code for the Buttons and the Color changing setpoint indicators.

After that, I'm pretty sure I can hammer through it. ;)

Re: Temperature probe length

Depending on the length of the T 2-4" are all you need. So get the 4 or 6" probes.
