Re: Brewers Hardware, All Stainless, Single Tier, BCS-462 rig

Dang! I guess I can't claim to have a JonW clone rig anymore...or maybe I'll have to refer to mine as a JonW v1 clone. Haha! Nice work, love the SS and hard piping.

Re: BCS 4.0.1 firmware released

Hmm, the Start Process settings just don't seem to work either...

EDIT: Arrgblah I RTFM, they run on state exit. It's only been 5 years since I messed with this controller. ....I think I got everything recreated that didn't convert correctly...

Re: BCS 4.0.1 firmware released

Figured out what is going on, same bug I reported last attempt at 4.x... the converter pulled in settings off by 1, in this case the temp probe was set to the wrong one in the various process states. Also noticed the converter didn't pull in any of the Start Process settings. :( Example: MLT looking...

Re: BCS 4.0.1 firmware released

I spoke too soon. I started heating HLT, and it stopped around 160F where it should have, and cut over to hold the temp, and kept rising. I checked the Temp Setpoints, and it's getting WAY wrong readings, and now it's overheating. HELP!!! It looks like I'm going to have to downgrade to brew today. :...

Re: BCS 4.0.1 firmware released

Awesome, thanks guys! I upgraded the firmware and migrated settings yesterday, seemed to go well after I power cycled the BCS and got my tftp server working correctly. Brewing today, wish me luck!

Re: BCS 4.0.1 firmware released

I might be the last user on earth to get around to upgrading to 4.x. The beta upgrade failures scared me off and I left well enough alone. ... so, now that it must be stable? is it OK to upgrade? What's the proper process to preserve all my 3.x configs exactly as there are? Anything other than HMI I...

Re: BCS Desktop App Pre-Release

It's just a botched up compacted version of your layout that fits my small screen 9" tablet. I'll try and get a pic next time I brew. I take it 4.0 beta is stable enough to brew on? I only ever tried the first beta and the conversion didn't work and I went back to stability.

Re: BCS Desktop App Pre-Release

Sweet! Now I have an excuse to update my BCS to v4.0 too. :D I'll have to download and play around. Will my old config transfer to this version?

Re: 8-Channel Relay Module, in reverse...? really?

Maybe you have it hooked up to the devices backwards? Each relay has three contacts, one normally closed and one normally open and the common, so it can be wired to activate your device when signaled to be off or on, depending on what you want.
