Re: Resetting BCS-460 With 4.0 Firmware

To rule out any issue with the Airport, I'm going to try setting up an old Cisco router as a private LAN and see if that will produce the same result. The interface for the Cisco router will allow me to view wired devices.

Re: Resetting BCS-460 With 4.0 Firmware

Jon, I have a 21" android monitor that can accept an Ethernet cable or go wireless. I unplugged the cable from the BCS and plugged it into the monitor only to ensure that it was being assigned a 10.0.1.X IP on the same subnet as my other devices. So that checks out. Brahn, unfortunately Apple h...

Re: Resetting BCS-460 With 4.0 Firmware

The 4.0 version should have defaulted to DHCP and pulled another new address from the router. At your new location, is the router using the same 10.0.1.x subnet range? Just wondering if anything else has changed in the configuration. That's what I had recalled. Thanks for confirming. Nothing has ch...

Resetting BCS-460 With 4.0 Firmware

Hello, I had a fully operational BCS-460 running Firmware 4.0 using an AirPort Extreme Router. BCS was configured to use DHCP and the router had a reservation for the BCS' MAC address to 10.0.1.200. We moved last May and my brewery controller spent the summer in a storage unit. We're finally in our ...

Re: Can't connect to BCS-460

On the router piece...yep, DHCP is enabled and I actually have it set up with a DHCP reservation for the BCS. I've tried resetting the router several times as well as temporarily disabling its firewall. On to the Ethernet lights...No, they never go out. I seem to have the same issue as adamant. I ha...

Re: Can't connect to BCS-460

It doesn't sound like you tried doing the 10s reset while connected to the router. Leave the IP address assignment on the router on, and do the 10/15s reset with the BCS plugged into the router. This is by far the easiest way to get the BCS connected. The direct connection is by far the hardest way...

Re: Can't connect to BCS-460

Still nothing. It's just very odd that three of us seem to have lost connectivity within a day or two even though it was functioning just fine previously. It might be odd, but there is no date/time in the BCS, so nothing within the BCS triggered this issue on that specific date. It sounds to me lik...

Re: Can't connect to BCS-460

This is quite a coincidence. I lost connectivity on Sept 11 as well. I had brewed on 9/8, no issues. I ended up having to disconnect my direct connection to my router so that i could relocate the router temporarily where i needed a hard connection elsewhere. When i came back and plugged the BCS in, ...

Issue Triggering Outputs and Saving Settings

I just fired up my BCS-460 from Brewers Hardware for the first time last night. It powered up fine and I was able to access the controller and went through the initial settings. I was able to disable a few of the outputs and DINs that I was not using as well as rename them. I also configured a few o...
