Re: v4.1 - Alarm When Exiting State

I use a din for this same purpose, so basically I just monitor the brew day with the interface, and advance through all states with combinations of exit conditions (Based on timers/temps) and the Din setup for input. Also I love OakBarn's replies because they always include pics! I am a visual perso...

Re: Ladder Logic and Pid Control

Glad it worked!
I have been playing around with ladder logic lately to learn it better. Out of curiosity, why does the output need to be in there twice? Maybe I don't understand ladder logic well enough, but why does it need to be in a contact position as well as a coil?

Re: odd issue, need some help

On my previous brew I did not use the pump in Hysterisis mode, I basically just used the bk in Pid and set it a few degrees higher than the MT and turned the pump direct on. It held temps rock steady. Using the pump in Hysterisis and the bk in Pid, it waited until it was a full degree low to turn th...

Re: odd issue, need some help

Actually what it looks like it is doing is the BK is using the 1 degree swing instead of PID. is this normal functionality? I noticed once the temp in the BK got below 154 it started heating and didn't stop until it went to 156..

odd issue, need some help

Brewing this morning and during my hold mash temp state, I hold the boil kettle at 155 (output 0) and temp 0. I use hystersis in the mash (temp 1) and the wort pump (output 1) set at 152. Once the temp drops in the mash it will recirculate through the BK to raise the temp back up. This part works, t...

Re: 2 Vessel temp/output question

I assume it would be hysterisis in heat mode, how much swing should I allow?

Re: 2 Vessel temp/output question

Jon,
If I were to associate temp1 with the pump output like in your example, and set that to mash temp, would I use direct on for the pump, or PID, Hysterisis?
Could I have the BK set to hold at say 154 and the mash temp set at 152 and tied to the pump to maintain temps in the same state?
