Re: Logging data to Linux (Raspberry Pi)

Sorry for not seeing this sooner
I poll the bcs every five minutes and store it in a rrd (round robin database). It then is available for easy graphing like this

Let me know if that would help and i can get you more info

Re: Temp sensor and output in same XLR?

Thanks JonW. That saves me a lot of work. Hopefully I soldered up extra leads on the xlr jacks in my panel.

Temp sensor and output in same XLR?

I use a 25 foot XLR mic cable between my BCS panel and my fermenting area. I have several of these that are dedicated for sensors and outputs and they work great. I'm out of XLR ports on my panel...but have spare conductors in some of my temp sensors. Is it ok to run an output and a temp sensor in t...

Re: New BCS-460 Availability

I was thinking about adding another 462 and dedicating it to my fermetation setup, but see none are available. What's the scoop?

Sounds like you don't have a ground jumper between the BCS ground (negative) and earth ground.
That was it i had all my ac grounds tied together and all my dc grounds tied together (separately). I hadnt tied them together. All better now

Thank you!!!

Temperatures fluctuations

I have seven sensors on my bcs and they all fluctate several degrees constantly. In the course of 15 seconds they might go shift up/down almost two degrees (a total rang of almost four degrees). This isn’t too bad at mash temps but gets to be a problem at fermentation temps when i am cycling pumps. ...

Bad temp input?

I have a 462 and it appears that I have a bad temperature input. Temp1 shows zero. All attempts to troubleshoot have the zero value follow temp1 and not my temp sensor. Is this common? It's a bummer cause I use all my temp sensors. Guessing the manufacturer doesn't have any nice trade-ins?

Re: BCS 4.0 Public Beta 2

In beta 1 the duty cycle was off by a factor of 10. If you look around you can find a post explaining it. So anything over 10 was running at 100%, 5.0 would have been 50%. That's been fixed in beta 2, so that 50 is 50% duty cycle. Confirmed....I first posted the duty cycle bug. It's fixed...I use i...

Re: BCS 4.0 Public Beta 2

Odd...I tried it on my mac with both Safari and Chrome....multiple times.
I tried it using IE on a Windows 7 machine...worked.

Re: BCS 4.0 Public Beta 2

I upgraded my BCS. I used the backup and restore function on github and saved my json file.
I go to restore...select the json...it knows my process names, but when I restore...I'm still at default settings.
Ideas?
