Re: Thinking of getting a Jacketed Fermenter

Many devices with compressors (fridge and AC) include a delay switch to avoid restarting shortly after it was turned off. The restart without enough time from the last run can destroy them. If you remove the electronics in the AC you maybe also remove the delay switch. Can you program a function in ...

Re: Controlling multiple elements with single temp probe

How electric power can be distributed i US seems to be a bit complicated. It is easier to be an amateur over here. And not such a big need for fat wires (3-phase and higher voltage can reduce that ;) ).

Re: Controlling multiple elements with single temp probe

Very interesting that you can find homebrewers using 3-phase in US (I suppose you live there) - I myself live in Sweden. 3-phase is much more common here. Nearly every modern home here have a 3-phase installation but we use 230/400 V. I suppose you have 120/208 V. But how are your elements wired - i...

Re: Induction plate

? There is only max 5 V DC over the switch and potentiometer - not 230V AC. Some Germans has pulled out the MOLEX with four leaders and put in Arduinos instead - they say it works. Well, I understand that I need probes and I know what PWM and hysteresis is. The Germans understand that you should not...

Induction plate

Hello - this is my first post. I am a Swedish homebrewer but not a BCS-owner yet. My question is about controlling inductionplates with a BCS. In the the following link you look at an inductionplate which has become popular among german homebrewers. http://www.ebay.de/itm/Hendi-Gastro-Induktionskoch...
