Re: RE: Data Log help

Jon,

I'm planning a brew day soon, and still haven't figured out how to record data from the BCS. Even while brewing, I can't see any probe data at all--nothing but a blank grid appears on the screen. Is there somewhere I can go to look up how to use this feature?

Thanks,

RSCarey

RE: Data Log help

Fellow Brewers, I just finished brewing a Racer 5 clone, my second batch on my new Brutus 10-based rig. I have figured out a lot about the BCS 460 thanks to the good people on this forum, but I still have a couple fairly basic questions: How does one actually use the Data Log feature? I see the time...

Multiple temp probes associated with an output

Dear programming gurus, Please help a new guy as I write my first processes to try out on my brand new four vessel (HLT, MT, BK#1, BK#2) Brutus 10. First Question: Should I configure my rig to use PID or hysteresis? I've made a system which uses manually controlled gas burners as well as a 4500w RIM...

Re: Does my BCS 460 need to be re-flashed?

Great solution with the powerline adapters. I totally forgot that they existed. My question is this: how do you control the BCS if your powerline adapter only has a single jack? Do you use your laptop on wifi and the powerline only for the bcs? Also, how could this solution be applied if the input d...

Re: Does my BCS 460 need to be re-flashed?

OK, now I'm flummoxed only this time in a good way. Went home last night, plugged the BCS directly into the Verizon router and did the 15 sec reset. After a power cycle, the THING CAME RIGHT UP!!! In this case, Einstein is proven wrong as doing the same thing in the same way multiple times actually ...

Re: Does my BCS 460 need to be re-flashed?

Have you ever been able to connect to your BCS? e.g. Did you test it prior to building your control panel? Did you apply power to your control panel and test it with the BCS connected? Have you tested your power supply? I have never been able to connect to the BCS. I didn't test it until I finished...

Re: Does my BCS 460 need to be re-flashed?

Thanks for your help. I appreciate it. Steps taken: 1. Do a 15 Second RESET I have tried at least 20 times. I can feel the button depress each time. Have power cycled the thing countless times as well. 2. Your computer is on the same network as the BCS. I can see the Apple TV plugged into the next p...

Does my BCS 460 need to be re-flashed?

Hello and thanks for any help you can offer. I thought that after I built my control panel, the hard part was over... Seems like everybody has their own unique frustration getting their BCS to work. Unfortunately, none of the other posts have helped. I read through and followed the directions on the...
