Re: Multiple Processes Controlling One Output

I have a SSR that controls my gas valves, and have a 'safety' in place. So far that has been working very well, but I am having a problem trying to get the programming right to keep a constant temperature. I know nothing will be perfect, but i have the BCS set so that there is a 0.1 degree (F) varia...

Re: Multiple Processes Controlling One Output

Thanks so much for all the info guys, sorry it took me a bit to get back to this. The over all goal is to have both pumps running for the entire mash process, one recirculating hot water in the HLT to keep a consistent temperature, and the other to pump wort through the HERMS coil. I was originally ...

Multiple Processes Controlling One Output

I am looking to find a way to have multiple processes control a single output. I have a temperature probe on the output of my mash tun, and one on the output of my HERMS coil (inside my HLT). I am trying to have my BCS turn on and off my gas burner below my HLT in order to maintain my mash temperatu...

Re: Wiring Diagram to run a Duplex Outlet for 2 Pumps

Good to know Jon, thanks. It was testing just fine using a lamp, just wanted to make sure the readings I was getting would not cause any problems. Thanks so much for all of your help!

Re: Wiring Diagram to run a Duplex Outlet for 2 Pumps

So I have gotten everything wired up and im still getting some strange readings. On the SSR's I am getting a reading of 123 volts on terminal 1, and getting 0 volts on terminal 2, and this is with the BCS having the SSR in an off state. Looks perfect to me. So now it gets a little weird, If I put a ...

Re: Wiring Diagram to run a Duplex Outlet for 2 Pumps

Thanks Jon! Ill be wiring the rest of this up once i get home this evening. Hopefully everything comes out just fine. I think I will take your suggestion on using a regular outlet on the control box, and GFCI on the wall outlet.

Re: Wiring Diagram to run a Duplex Outlet for 2 Pumps

Thanks for the quick response Jon, glad to know it is nothing to worry about. Does everything else look OK in this diagram? What if I were to use a GFCI outlet, does that change the wiring at all? Thanks again Jon!

Wiring Diagram to run a Duplex Outlet for 2 Pumps

Hey Guys, I am running into a problem trying to get my BCS-460 to power a duplex outlet, which will run my 2 pumps. I have attached a visio of my wiring diagram to see if anyone can figure out what might be happening. I am able to get power to my BCS unit and can see power on the SSR's when i turn t...

Re: Wiring Diagram for 2 Honeywell VR8200A Gas Control Valve

Awesome, I'm glad that my poor visio skills can help :) I hope everything works out for you. Im still wondering about the wiring on the transformer, I have seen people set it up in multiple different ways. The manual for the Honeywell is located here (http://forum.embeddedcc.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&a...

Re: Wiring Diagram for 2 Honeywell VR8200A Gas Control Valve

Thanks Jon! I have read a bunch of your forum topics, and I must say you are the man when it comes to this stuff, and you have a killer rig! I changed the labeling on my '24V DC' bus bar to '24V AC Neutral' and placed a jumper from the AC Ground to the 5V DC Ground. Any thoughts on if the transforme...
