I went with the Kal style setup with the 2 gang box, drill it out, stick the element through the box and kettle, attatch with a 1" NPS nut. I also soldered the box to the kettle for a good ground. Its a little bulky but it is also solid and watertight in case of accidental boil overs. The only ...

I did notice that on my last brew but it kicked back on. I did notice when I had my auber PID panel it would shut off about 15 degrees low for about 15 seconds and then start the PID cycling to bring it up to the setpoint.
