Re: Is there a way to "lock in" BCS at a single state?

Thanks JonW and Oakbarn! Of course I didn't deal with this right away and am just getting around to implementing your solutions now that stuff has gotten turned off on accident a second time :/. I don't have any DINs set up on my system so I think I am going to go with JonW exit state set-up, but I ...

Is there a way to "lock in" BCS at a single state?

Hi folks, So we are a commercial brewery using BCS solely for temperature sensing and control of electronic ball valves on our glycol system. As such, we don't really have much programming going on. Just a single process called "temp control" and a single state called "temp set points...

Re: Question about relay to ball valve wiring (again)

Is this the type of terminal block I would want to use perhaps? I definitely have some space limitations in my box so this would be good if appropriate.

Re: Question about relay to ball valve wiring (again)

Thanks for your response JonW. Still confused a bit, so let me ask for some clarification. No, you need to tie the 12V power supply (-) terminal to the BCS (-) terminal. You then also need to tie the BCS (-) terminal to your AC ground (G). What exactly do you mean by the (-) terminal on the BCS? One...

Question about relay to ball valve wiring (again)

Okay, putting one of my control boxes together finally for a glycol control system, and realizing that I think I misread some of your previous answers. This box will house 2 BCS units with the full complement of 8 temp probes each. I am using this relay board: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M1I...

Re: Strange BCS behavior-board by board temp variation

Thanks for your response Jon. That makes some sense. Since you say the following: Thus, the power supply and associated circuitry could have an influence on the output. would that mean that I not only need to make sure that the probes are always associated with the same BCS board once I do the calib...

Strange BCS behavior-board by board temp variation

Hi Folks, So I have been scratching my head for about an hour over this one. Firstly, I see lots of talk on here about temp probe calibration being a part of bcs 4.0 utilities, but I don't see it when I go to the page. Do you have to be currently connected to the BCS to see it? Right now as I test t...

Re: Wires for sensors & ball valves (also wiring style)

Yeah I am planning on doing individual runs of 22 AWG twisted pair for the sensors.

Re: Questions about relays and power supplies

Or this one, which also stays under 100 W and would actually get to me on time!

Questions about relays and power supplies

So despite my best efforts to search and read any and all related posts so as to sound less like an idiot, I still have some very rudimentary questions about how different parts of the BCS controlled system are powered. I am about to order the last bits of equipment and I need to get this thing up a...
