Re: BCS-482 - Cannot Connect to Utilities for Backup, etc

Yessir. No problem, which is why it took me a while to even notice it. Only change i can think of since i last used the BCS was changing from an ATT wifi gateway to a Netgear Orbi Mesh system. Finder finds it right away on the PC - again it is hardwired to my router. My wifi adapter was not mesh com...

Re: BCS-482 - Cannot Connect to Utilities for Backup, etc

Additional info. I can get the utility connected to the BCS on mobile using the same IP address mentioned above.

Both BCS and the PC I am using are hardwired to the router. Would that make a difference vs using my phone?

Thanks in advance

Its been a while since i brewed and so i cannot remember if i am just missing something or what...

I put my IP address (from finder) into the BCS utilities field and all i get is the Red Check.

I am running 4.1.2 on my machine.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Re: Differential Setpoint for Glycol Cooled Fermenter

Hey Oakbarn - thanks for the info; very cool. I think we are doing about the same thing, i just want the PG control to basically take care of itself. So if I am in the 60s, PG will be 50; if the FV is in the 50s then PG will be 40, etc etc. I cant leave the PG at one temp because i get overshoot fro...

Re: Differential Setpoint for Glycol Cooled Fermenter

Oakbarn - thanks for the reply. I get what you are saying, that i can simply combine the fermenter controls and glycol controls in a single process and just put the glycol setpoints where i want them for each state. With that setup are you able to run two different fermenter profiles simultaneously ...

Re: BCS Not Connecting Issue

Any idea what might be causing this? Same as mentioned above, my 482 shit the bed last night at 11pm right after i pitched some yeast(fermenter control). I am pretty new to this and didn't have a restore file (my bad) so i had do to the mentioned reset and then rebuild my control logic to get going ...

Dynamic Setpoint for Fermentation Cooling

I found a workaround for the time being, but it would be really great if there was a way to assign a dynamic setpoint to a controller for purposes of cooling during fermentation. Something like a hysteresis setpoint or an exit condition which be based on another temp probe value plus or minus an off...

Re: Differential Setpoint for Glycol Cooled Fermenter

Oakbarn thanks. So here is what i am thinking... The glycol controller looks at the FV1 temp and chooses its SP based on that probe. Its unfortunate that the exit conditions support => and <= only; it would be great if you could set ranges (if >x and <y goto z), then i could do this with way fewer s...

Differential Setpoint for Glycol Cooled Fermenter

Hey is there a way to make a set point of one variable offset or dependent on another? I am trying to minimize swings on my glycol control by raising the glycol bath temperature. Basically i would like to have the Glycol bath temperature setpoint be say 20F lower than the FV setpoint. Is there a way...

Re: Two Probe Hysteresis Freezer Control

That would work, but then its really manually controlling the ferm temp by changing the freezer SP. Hoping to do it automatically, like how a Brewpi/Craftbeerpi/STC100+ can do. I think this will work as described above, just didn't know if anybody had tried it. My freezer is a vertical with an integ...
