Re: Strange Network Issues - Help!?

Just to wrap up this thread, I sent the unit back and Adam fixed it right up for me. Works fine now, even with DHCP on. Evidently the unit was losing packets somehow and that's what was causing my problems. Thanks to Adam for fixing everything! I can finally get this thing in place and controlling m...

Re: Strange Network Issues - Help!?

Yes, I tried the hard reset yesterday, now I cannot access the unit at all. I'd like to send it back to have you check it out, but not for a refund. Although I do really appreciate that you would do that at this point. I'll send you an email this afternoon.

Thanks,

- Dan

Re: Strange Network Issues - Help!?

New router didn't work either, no surprise there. But I had to try it. Even reset the unit so that it would try to connect via DHCP. No luck. Any chance I can ship my unit back in and see if you can try it out and see if you see an problem? I was just kidding about the hammer (sorta)... I know I've ...

Re: Strange Network Issues - Help!?

Tried hooking up the BCS this morning, with the BCS at 192.168.1.69 and the routers IP range from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.60. Still couldn't connect to the BCS or ping it. Tried manually entering the text from Sizz, but still no luck. I got these results from the arp -a: Interface: 192.168.1.6 --- ...

Re: Strange Network Issues - Help!?

I verified that I was allocating a static IP that was in the routers DHCP range. The range was set from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254. I changed the range to 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.60, so the BCS would be out of the range at 69. Unfortunately I didn't get to test it yet, but will do that first thin...

Re: Strange Network Issues - Help!?

I'm still unclear about the 'random problems' you had in that configuration. Did the BCS manage to DHCP successfully? I'll try your suggestions when I get home tonight, thanks! When I had the DHCP on, I could connect sometimes, and sometimes I couldn't. Not sure if it was the BCS or the network. - ...

Re: Strange Network Issues - Help!?

Interesting - I did manage to hook it up directly last night to the PC and was able to access it. Of course that keeps me from being able to get online and will also keep me from connecting remotely. I will try the commands at the command prompt tonight when I get home and post those results. Thanks...

Strange Network Issues - Help!?

I bought my controller long ago, and have been very slow to get it going. My problem originally was connecting to it via the network. Seemed to give me random problems, but I thought I had figured out what I was doing wrong and set the IP address manually and turned off DHCP on the box. Got busy and...

Re: iBCS

#1 seems to be working... slowly...

Other then some network issues, not related to the Brewbuddy software, everything appears to be progressing!
