Open Interface Manual Mode

Hello, I've begun looking through the documentation for the BCS open interface. Is there a way to control the BCS via manual mode using the open interface? For example, similar to manual mode on the OEM interface, I would like to control output 1 with an output of 50%. Or say output 3 with a PID tem...

Re: Temp probes screw into what?

Thanks .. I think I would have to put the probe in the side not the top they are 4 and 6" long. I was hoping to avoid hard plumbing things. keep it all silicone or thermoplastic tubing. maybe some SS barbs 1/2" I could clamp on .. yeah thats the ticket ! thanks Brett Note that the thermis...

Re: Temp probes screw into what?

Is the correct stainless compression fitting available at that site as well? I haven't received my probes yet so I am not exactly sure what I need. Hi Mike - looks like they do have SS compression fittings on the site, but they are very pricey. However, based on info from John Palmer, my plan is to...

Re: Temp probes screw into what?

I could not find anything like that in copper at HD. What do most people use to put this in the wort stream for temperature ? I would rather use SS than brass. does anyone have a picture? If you wanted to go the stainess route, you could splice in a 1/2" tee to your line - http://www.buyfittin...

Re: BCS Firmware

Excellent - looks pretty straight forward. I assume that I could also toggle Output 0 via Ucsysio.dat ? When writing a structure ( example ucsysio ), is it necessary to write the entire structure? Or is it possible to set up the POST parameters to only send those that you are interested in based on ...

Re: BCS Firmware

Sounds good - thanks for the reply.

When you say completely open, does that mean that we will have IO level access to the different ports? i.e. Could I set my UI to poll on DIN0 to see if it was switched, and if so switch on DO0?

Re: Temp probes screw into what?

Anybody had any experience buying from http://www.buyfittingsonline.com ? I've got a bunch of fittings I want to get and those prices are pretty decent compared to mcmaster.

Any other places people would recommend?

BCS Firmware

Out of curiosity, does ECC have any plans for open sourcing the firmware?

Re: Introductions

You should have no problem running those three on a 15A circuit.
