Re: BCS 482 Not working correctly

I have found issues with the 482 when you use a 462 file to restore. It has an issue that cause is to fail to an “All Outs On” mode that is more prevelant in a 462 Restore, but also happens without a restore. I would suggest that you Reset to Factory Defaults using the 15 second reset by holding dow...

Re: Differential Setpoint for Glycol Cooled Fermenter

Next Day: Very Excellent Control. :ugeek: Orange is Ferment SetPoint (54 F Hysteresis Swing 1) Red is Fermentor Light Green Gylcol SetPoint (34 F Hysteresis with Swing of 2) Dark Green Gylcol Bath You can see that the Red and Orange are very close. The Glycol Bath does not cycle very often. ;) Don't...

Re: Differential Setpoint for Glycol Cooled Fermenter

This is a graph of my method where I have the Glycol at 34 and the Fermentor at 54.

AS you can see, the Glycol bath does not cycle very often and hold the 54 very well in the fermentor. It is a 30 gal Brewer's Hardware one.

Re: BCS Not Connecting Issue

10/29/2018 11:01 CDT My BCS 482 once again lost connection and all Out were on once again. I was doing some cleaning so some processes were running. While not immediate, the only thing I had done"out of normal" was that I used the Temp Setpoint Adjustment Page to change setpoints in 3 different Stat...

Re: HowTo: Voice control of BCS with Amazon Alexa

I use it. It works great. I am going to look into a dynamic DNS as they keep changing my Public IP. Looks like some significant code changes in V3 as to how it works. Without knowing much, it looks like V3 would handle setpoints much better than V2.

I am still on V2

Re: BCS 460 Dead?

Try a 15 Second Reset. It does not need anything but power to do that.

Re: Thanksgiving & BCS

I have used the BCS to control non brewing gadgets. While I have not done the Turkey fryer, it seems to me that the same principal applies to commercial french fry fryers. I know some have an element that heats the oil.

Re: BCS Not Connecting Issue

:) It happened to me the other day as well. I had a backup. :) I cannot remember what I was doing but it may have been in the Process Editor portion of the UI. I know that it was in the Process Editor portion of the UI when you have restored from a 462 Backup. This time I had built from scratch, but...

Re: Differential Setpoint for Glycol Cooled Fermenter

I think you are over complicating the issue. It would work as you have it but My Glycol is only pumped into the Jacket as needed to cool. I have: State 0: Cool Glycol Bath Output 0: Glycol Chiller: Hysteresis: Glycol Bath Probe SetPoint 50 Hysteresis Swing 3 Exit Manually When I have transferred the...

Re: Differential Setpoint for Glycol Cooled Fermenter

Yes. You can set an exit point based upon different criteria

DINs
Temperature
Time

You can loop between two and even have two different exits that go to a different state.

I would generally say if you can provide the logic, the BCS can follow the logic!
