Re: My version of the HMI builder
Thanks for this. Apologies, but I'm unable to test the fix because I had to dismantle my brewery due to pending building works. It won't be operational for a few more months. However, really appreciate your time on this and will look forward to testing as soon as I can. Maybe oakbarn will check this...

Re: My version of the HMI builder
FYI, some reproducible test results on my system (below) which may help demonstrate the issue mentioned. These are results from four float DIN scenarios i.e. 2 x OFF or ON, with Text box results (Flow ON - red, or Float OFF - green) from BCS Graphical Interface. Scenario 1: DIN1 (overflow/top float)...

Re: My version of the HMI builder
Bbrally - thanks for all your hard your work on this GUI which is fantastic. I picked up on this just a few days ago and have since been using your http://bbrally.altervista.org/guibeta/index.html site to draw up a nice canvas for my HERMS brewery (BCS462) here in England. I'm really pleased with th...

Re: BCS 4.1.0 firmware released
So I installed 4.1.0 last night and unfortunately encountered functionality problems. I'm using Macbook (OS High Sierra) and Chrome. The first thing as an FYI and probably unrelated to the new firmware, is that the nice routine for Mac upgrade described in detailed "Re: 4.0 upgrade problem/Mac&...

Re: How to spawn a nested process and one once?
Agree. I've been using the back up and restore utility constantly and faultlessly for a variety of 'recipes' I've been developing to commission my BCS-based system. It's very cool and gives you limitless scope for design. Problem is the Recipe Utility variables/input tab doesn't work across backed u...

Re: PID control of mash temp
Thanks guys. I tried tuning my PID using several water-only trials and found results uninspiring. I brought down 'P' to 5 from 20 and 'sample period' to 5 from 30 (info from an earlier ECC thread). I still had relatively poor control although better than before - setpoint took 20-30 mins to stabiliz...

Re: PID control of mash temp
Thanks for your reply. Sorry for the confusion - "control of an HLT element from my mash tun [HERMS] output temperature probe" is what I'd like to do rather than using my HLT output probe. So your assumption is right although obviously I use the HLT probe to monitor my HLT water temperatur...
