Re: Adjustable duty cycle and temp setpoints
Setting up a webserver for me is pretty easy. It's the entire lack of time to learn JS and screw around with the interface part of the program that's the issue.

Re: BCS loss of connectivity during brew
Try it out hard patced to see if the issue is consistent.
Other than that, as a network engineer I can tell you to never use Apple networking products on networks with non-Apple gear. In fact, don't use Apple networking products at all.

Re: Power Switch Tail 2 poor performance
So I picked up a really cheap multimeter from Harbor Freight yesterday and had a chance to check things out. Direct from the BCS I'm getting 4.95v out both from the switched and unswitched outputs. I'm getting half the amps from the switched as the unswitched though. I'm not 100% sure if that's expe...

Re: Power Switch Tail 2 poor performance
Nope, wiring is correct. I do hear a click, and the indicator LED comes on. In fact on two of the outs I hear a series of rapid clicks (like the relay is cycling 100 times) before it stabilizes on. I've used the PSTs with a Ranco before, so I know they do work. I'm going to dig out a Multimeter tomo...

Power Switch Tail 2 poor performance
I'm not entirely sure what's going on, but let me describe the issue and we can go from there. I have my BCS-460 set up to trigger some Ferwmwraps (40w @110v total) via Hysteresis using Power Switch Tail IIs (PST) as the Relays. So PWM shouldn't be in play. Wiring is pretty simple, just the BCS out ...

Re: Gas Valve Igniter Issue
Sounds familiar.
1. Isolate the grounds. Do your best to ensure the BCS ground is the least desirable return path for the high spark.
2. What he said.

Re: OK, what do I need??
Three things: 1. When doing RIMS or HERMS disregard the 1.25-1.5 qt/lb water ratios and adjust closer to 2.0. Go 2.5 if you're doing a wheat heavy beer. 2. 1lb of rice hulls for regular beers and 2lb for wheat beers (in 10-20lb brews) will both prevent stuck mashes as well as raise your efficiency s...
