Re: circuit protection
Good practice to fuse before reducing wire size below the existing protection. If you have a 50A breaker in the building panel, and bring it via #8 wire to your brew panel, and want to separate out to 3 22.9A elements, and a 15A feed for 120V for bumps and such... run the #8 wire to a 50 A contactor...

Re: PID Question
quick answer, no and no... First, the BCS has the 'basic' PID functionality for brewing with electric or gas. no need for the red lion, and there is no way to have the two inter-operate. You can go to the Red Lion csmstrgt or csmstrsx, but they are 5x+ the cost of the BCS.. Second, for that motor yo...

Re: Expansion number of outputs
I would say search for I2C, but that is too short for the search engine :-( google: site:embeddedcc.com i2c you will see something called the Digi 16, but it is no longer viable... my favorite hit is me asking for a new one in 2015: https://forum.embeddedcc.com/viewtopic.php?t=2604 your best bet is ...

Re: My version of the HMI builder
how much CPU power would this take to run *on* the BCS (or the new BCS) natively? None. Just as with the native BCS interface, it runs completely on your computer and only accesses the BCS for interaction. let me rephrase my question - what would it take for this to run on a private network without...
