Re: BCS 460 Dead?

Try a 15 Second Reset. It does not need anything but power to do that.

Re: Thanksgiving & BCS

I have used the BCS to control non brewing gadgets. While I have not done the Turkey fryer, it seems to me that the same principal applies to commercial french fry fryers. I know some have an element that heats the oil.

Re: BCS Not Connecting Issue

:) It happened to me the other day as well. I had a backup. :) I cannot remember what I was doing but it may have been in the Process Editor portion of the UI. I know that it was in the Process Editor portion of the UI when you have restored from a 462 Backup. This time I had built from scratch, but...

Re: Differential Setpoint for Glycol Cooled Fermenter

I think you are over complicating the issue. It would work as you have it but My Glycol is only pumped into the Jacket as needed to cool. I have: State 0: Cool Glycol Bath Output 0: Glycol Chiller: Hysteresis: Glycol Bath Probe SetPoint 50 Hysteresis Swing 3 Exit Manually When I have transferred the...

Re: Differential Setpoint for Glycol Cooled Fermenter

Yes. You can set an exit point based upon different criteria

DINs
Temperature
Time

You can loop between two and even have two different exits that go to a different state.

I would generally say if you can provide the logic, the BCS can follow the logic!

Re: Touch Screen Interface for BCS

Any tablet or pc with a modern browser will work. A chrome tablet. Would be great. I use my iPhone 6s all the time I have a large screen tv hooked up with either an HDMI cable or a chrome cast. The tv is mounted too high to use a touch screen but I also have an old cheap 11 inch notebook I use to co...

Re: UI Not Rendering on iPad

There is no fix. Original IPads cannot run up to date OS due to poor memory for operating system. The Old IPads on had 256mb for the OS. The IPad Air 2 has 2gb. The newer updated browser that is with the OS has features that are not supported in older browsers. Both Apple and Microsoft like to force...

Hard Failure

I thought I had solved this with a From the Ground Rebuild of my 482 Processes. But it seems that there is an issue somewhere still. It was very common when I restored from a 462 Backup. Today (09/25/19) , I was preheating some water and clicking the Down Widget on Temp 4 LED (Controlling Out 1) und...

Re: BCS-482 Unresponsive

I used to set up a Static IP. That works fine until you do a Reset or install new firmware. It then reverts to DCHP. Changing Routers will make the DCHP different. In some cases, even some change in your network can cause a re assignment, but I have had that only happen once. Under "normal"...

Re: problems changing config files

I find this one the easiest to use:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/tftputil/

Sometimes I have to try several times before I get it to work.
