Re: floating temp reading

Simply tie the AC ground to the DC ground and it should stop the fluctuations.

Re: Adding more temp sensors to BCS-460

If you don't need to use the temp probes at the same time, you can wire two to a relay and switch between them.

Re: Adding more temp sensors to BCS-460

No, you can't add any temp sensors to the 460. You'd have to go to a 462 to get more. On the bright side, resale values for BCS units has been pretty good. ;)

Re: Wiring Diagram Help

Yorg - you are correct, the relays will be powered from the 12V, but the 5V will be used to trigger them. They are setup using Darlington transistors to do this - it's kind of like having a mini 5V relay triggering the larger 12V relay. This allows you to use the 5V triggering by using more robust r...

Re: Duel system

Your request is pretty vague, so it is hard to give you an answer. The BCS is both a software and hardware system. The software reads temperatures and inputs and can control outputs based on logic you program into it. Depending on your goals, yes, the BCS is quite capable of controlling the two syst...

Re: Hysterisis problem

Under "System Settings", "PID and Hysteresis Output Control Settings" - What is your Hysteresis degrees setting? That field dictates the degrees swing you will get above/below your set point. Also, the PID Sample Period, Output Period, Min Pulse & Max Pulse are only used for ...

Re: BCS-462 reassigning PWM outs

Temp probe association and PWM are hard coded to out0-out5, no way around that.

Re: Temp probes go Haywire!!

They are common, that's why I was asking if you had already done two of them. Seems only one should be fine.

Pretty sure the multiple ones are just so you have multiple connection points without having to cram wires in or use a junction block.

Re: Temp probes go Haywire!!

They're all common ground. Are you saying you have a jumper wire going from two of them already to an earth ground?
