Re: Problems with ebay 12v Relay Board

Yes, good clarification - the valves are NC, not NO. The relay closure causes the valve to open, not close.

Re: Problems with ebay 12v Relay Board

(Edited after inspection of the valve specs) The valve needs a continuous connection to both GND & VDD (12V) on the blue and red wires respectively. You should then have a jumper from VDD to the COM connector on the relay with the yellow wire on the NO connection of the relay. The additional app...

Re: The 462 is finally wired.

I think part of where your confusion is coming from with the logic functionality is that you are trying to interpret the control logic during both "setup" and "runtime" control. I generally do not change any setup options while I am running processes. If you have a process/state ...

Re: Question on multiple processes

The process with the higher number gets priority. I like how this is implemented. In my setup, process 0 does MLT functions, process 1 does HLT functions and process 2 does fly sparging functions. When I kick off fly sparging, it overrides the valve configurations and burner outputs that the MLT &am...

Re: Advice needed. Startup a RIMS+ with 3 fermenters + misc

Your requirements of "press-a-button" brewing and not wanting to spend any time programming are at odds with each other. There isn't any "out of the box" solution that will do what you want. You will need to spend some time developing your brewing processes and "programming&...

Re: Bobbitt Brewery - Single Tier 3 Pump System

My design was inspired by JonW single tier 3 pump system: http://www.embeddedcontrolconcepts.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=342 Cool! I put a lot of thought into how my system would operate and I'm happy to see that others are adopting aspects of it. Different from Jon, I decided to only have o...

Re: Solenoid Valves

You want to use a low voltage relay board to drive the solenoids. The 5V output drives a relay which you can then wire up 12V or 24V accessories. To keep things simple, you want to standardize on either 12V or 24V accessories and get a relay board and power supply that uses the same voltage. Keep in...

Looking good so far!

Why did you choose to use two different burner styles?

Re: Force Run at Powerup, v3.3

Well, I just tried this work around for my refrigeration process (Proc 7). While it does work and force run Proc 7, it also has the unintended consequence ( bug ) of turning on Output 7! Believe me, my refrigeration process has nothing defined to use Out7 (my MLT pump). This work around isn't going ...
