Re: Anyone using a BCS in the UK?
You would just need a transformer that gets the correct dc voltage, 5V i believe. No need for a transformer from 220->110, just go directly to dc, at least that's what I would try to do. :) Once you find a transformer that's the right voltage get busy using wire cutters and soldering iron if you can...

Re: v2.0 Firmware now available!
My understanding is that the hardware are identical, and all you need to do is a firmware upgrade which is software only.

Re: BCS 460 VIRTUAL "KILL SWITCH"
There are two levels of actual big red buttons, I have both on my rig, i have a switch that kills the power to the bcs if I want to shut it down or power cycle it, and then I have each powered outlet with a 3-way switch that allows force-off, force-on, or ssr(bcs)-control of the out. For the kill sw...

Re: Suggestion for a new product
You can run a cat-5 cable basically an infinite length and have a satellite box with ssr's in it, so the only thing being sent is the low voltage control signal. I have done this as my brewery and fermentation chamber are in different places...just string a little cat-5 and set it all up. I put head...

Re: RIMS temperature control
Where are you measuring temperatures? Can you use it not in manual mode and get the temps to work right in your process? (basically, do you have any more information that might help? Maybe screenshot(s) of your processes?) it might just be the thermal mass of the grain and/or heat loss from your tun?

Re: Is my BCS dead?
So, Adam received your BCS and it (appears) to work fine(that was my expectation, there aren't many things to go wrong). Based on the fact that I helped you work with the network stuff way back in January and we were unable to resolve it then, something about using an access point as a gateway(get's...

getting 5V DC in germany is going to be the easy part, I would think you need to work through all the high voltage side issues...
