Re: Browser Issues
Generally, Firefox works the best with BCS, but now IE9 seems to work fine as well. IE8 and all IE versions prior do not work.

Re: physically display timer value
It cannot currently be done. The displays do support it, but the BCS has been setup to show temps, not times.

Re: Networking the BCS 460
You state the ISP assigned a static IP, but you also say you're using DynDNS. Is the static IP only an internal IP then and not a static external IP? What are the IP ranges used on the Westell, Linksys and BCS? With that setup, it appears to me you are doing a double NAT. Where are your internal IP ...

Re: Two stage gas burner
You could do it with 2 states within your boil process. Call them something like "Boil High" and "Boil Low". Using conditional logic, you could jump between the two states to control the use of the outer ring.

Re: Noob - questions, questions ...
Yes, 4 controlled outlets means 4 SSR's, unless you want more than one outlet controlled simultaneously, then you could run multiple outlets from one SSR.
I don't think you'll find and example of it. Some things you just need to cobble together.

Re: Noob - questions, questions ...
Welcome Scott. You can control all the items that you listed. Since the BCS outputs a 5V signal, the preferred way to attached controlled devices is via an SSR. My BCS runs two kegerators for serving beer and a third kegerator that I ferment in. The 3rd kegerator is setup for both heating and coolin...

Re: Interface crash recovery
Can you clarify more specifically what you mean by "interface crash" and "it forgets how to save changed settings"? I mostly only have to power cycle my BCS when I do firmware upgrades or if I'm adding/removing some wiring from it I power it down. What firmware version are you on...

Re: Customize your BCS web pages - coming soon!
Ken, Yes, I am using my own index.html. Honestly, I dropped documenting this project because the new HMI was coming out and I thought that would be a lot easier for people to use for customization (which it is). However, I am not using the HMI builder as it is still not as flexible as what I am doin...

Re: Timers stop when updating system settings
I can't specifically say if this is really a bug or not, but my approach to system setup and process modification is that those are pre-brew steps that shouldn't be modified during the running of the processes. Having done a bit of programming myself, I would never expect the BCS to properly track a...

Re: 7-segment displays
Yes, the center display is bad. It is a faulty display that will be swapped out as soon as the replacement arrives.Baron Ken wrote:Jon, is the center display missing the decimal points?
They look great, BTW.
