Re: Don't use any comma's in descriptions!

I believe it was in the discrete input description fields.

It totally whacked temp probes, outputs and all my processes.

Don't use any comma's in descriptions!

A bit of a warning here (and bug report) - Don't use any comma's in any descriptions. Evidently the BCS stores all text descriptions internally in a comma separated format. If you use any commas in your descriptions, it will cause all descriptions to shift to other fields. I just spent about a half ...

Re: Added BCS 462 features

Adam; I recall on the Home Brew Forum a request with you working on a volume by pressure sensor probe as well a flow amount feature to be added in the future for the BCS 462 system, any progress on these requested added features and when they will be added to the 462 units? Thanks in advance. I'll ...

Re: Single tier, 3 pump automated build

If anyone is interested in the SS ball valves I used, I still have about a dozen of them left. I directly imported some of them to get the price down and to supply to a few other brewers. Here's some links on them: Mfg US web site: http://www.electric-valve.com/20.html Video showing them in action: ...

Re: Single tier, 3 pump automated build

Wow, looks great. I love how you tucked the pumps under the base, very clean. That is one neat clean looking build. I especially like the graphic showing the flow. I need to upgrade mine to copy your design. Thanks guys. It's still a work in progress. I just swapped the keggles last night for some ...

Re: Remote Access

You can't have your gateway set to 0.0.0.0 - based on the IP addresses you are showing, it should likely be set to 192.168.1.1 (the internal LAN IP address of the router). By setting it to 0.0.0.0, you prevent the BCS from responding to requests from outside your LAN. That's why it works inside and ...

Single tier, 3 pump automated build

EDITED: 2010-11-08 Scroll down thread to see newer pics with powder coating, painting, new kettles, etc. OK, here's the current iteration of my stand. I have the BCS-462 running all the temp probes, gas valves, pumps & liquid valves. I'm still working on tweaking the programming on the BCS to m...

Re: Connecting an OUT to a DIN and a SSR.

Wow, that control panel pictured is sweet! I'm currently using 15 outputs and all 8 temp probes. At some point I'm probably going to add On/Off/Auto switches for control & push button switches to start processes and will likely use most of the Din's for that. 8 Temp Probes: HLT, MLT, Brew Kettle...

Yes, normally you would. The response about using a wall wort was to run the low voltage side if the BCS crapped out.

Re: Toggle Switch Wiring Question

You could grab any DC wall wort you have laying around and attach it to the 5V and Ground leads and you'd be in business to control everything manually. If you're already wiring switches how I put on the diagram, then you've already tied all the 5V (manual input side) and ground leads together. Beca...
