DIN Enable CheckBox
Maybe a UI "fix" in the future: The DIN Enable CheckBox if unchecked will still allow a DIN to be selected from a list in the DropDown ListBox. This is true for: 1. Edit Processes => State Exit Conditions 2. Ladder Logic The DIN if unchecked will not function if it is selected. One needs t...

Re: Discrete Input
So basically a DIN can be thought of as a switch. The wire comes off the 5 dc terminal through a switch to the DIN on the BCS. A physical “maintained action” switch would continue to assert a DIN as long as it was “maintained”. A physical “momentary action” switch would assert the DIN as long as it ...

Re: Temp Average
Some “facts” about Temperature Averaging 1. You set these under System Settings => [-] Miscellaneous System Settings. In this case I have selected Temp 0 and Temp 1 to be averaged. 2. Temp Average is simply (Temp 0 + Temp 1) divided by 2. Example: Temp 0 = 152 Temp 1 = 156 (152+156)/2 = 154 3. Temp ...

I have not been able to find out what "one shot" does or how it might be used. Will it be available in 4.0?

Do NOT buy an ABS enclosure and hope that the M12 panel mounts or the Panel mounts at OCCS will fit. The material is too thick!

Re: BCS Finder Utility
The only thing I did was update to firmware 3.7.1 from 3.7.0. I made no network changes or router changes that I know of. I did break out another router and set a local network up and the Finder works. I must have Germlins.

Re: BCS Finder Utility
Since updating I have tried with several computers to use the BCS finder without success. They all connect without any issues. Does not mater if a Static IP is assigned or using DHCP.
The BCS is connected to the router and the computers are wifi to the router.

Re: bcs usage clarification
I see that you can change the temp associated with a PID Out under
[-]PID and Hysteresis Output Control Settings. I can see that it would be much easier to treat them as "fixed".

Re: bcs usage clarification
It also appears that you must use Temp 0 with Out 0 and Temp 1 with Out 1 and so on in a process. Is this statement true? You may not use any Temp Probe with Out 0 in a Process using control (PID, and so on) except Temp Probe 0. I was trying to create a Process and had already labeled all my outs an...

Re: BCS Finder Utility
Ethernet Cable directly plugged in to the router. It worked fine until I did the firmware update. I had had it connected with a wireless bridge before but that also got funky after I upgraded the firmware to 3.7.1 I did the connection with a 50' standard Cat5 cable and got rid of the wireless bridge...
