Re: Replacement terminal connectors
I got em from newark, looking back at an email order from 2011, I think the part number was 59R8825 (Manufacturer Part No: 20020008-C101B01LF) I also bought 59R8951 (Manufacturer Part No: 20020327-C101B01LF ), I think that 2nd part number was to plug them into a 'cheater board' if the BCS ever faile...

Re: Blichmann Low Level Float Switch
99.999% sure it will fit through a 1.5" TC ferrule, depends on length and how welded into kettle. option 1 - use a quality (harbor freight will dull really quick) step drill and a vise (a drill press or mill drill is even easier, use oil, use a ferrule or other fitting and a clamp with gasket t...

Re: Help with connecting the BCS-460
Wiring diagram looks mostly acceptable, but I have a few questions/best practices recommendations...: - Which SSR is not working, all of them or just Out2 (the boil kettle with 2 SSR's in series)? - I do not like the full amperage E-Stop, but if it can handle the current, that is fine -The e-Stop in...

Re: Blichmann Low Level Float Switch
IMHO -
option 1 - buy the one I linked, buy an end cap, drill a hole in the end cap...
option 2 - look on eBay for a few months for a piece of surplus that is somewhat close...
option 3 - call these guys and get ready to hand them $300 or whatever http://www.ksr-usa.com/switches.htm

set up a logical 'or' in ladder logic with a register? (been out of the actual programming part for a bit now, so terminology may not be correct)

Re: Trouble Boiling
I cannot think of ANY reason to use PID for a boil... you need to change to duty cycle and maybe 50-75% will create a nice boil...
to prevent boilovers, you can implement several states, your temps and % power levels may vary
directly on until 207
50% power for 20 min
75% power for regular boil

Re: Pressure Sensors
No, not possible in any way... your best bet is to help me politely push for 4-20mA analog IO for the next version of the BCS....
