A networking guru who can come to your house and help you set it up...I am a proponent of hard wiring it, just run a long length of cat-5 and skip the wireless piece. Networking(nothing to do with the bcs) is complicated...when you get the wireless stuff involved and gateway, firewalls, port forward...

One of my favorite parts of my bcs setup is it's control over my fermentation chamber(a deli fridge, that can hold 8 carboys 4+4)...i can dial in any temperature and time of year with the small space heater in there and the fridge compressor providing both chilling and heating potential. There is no way to do what you are asking other than either having the developer(ecc) update the ui, or for you to implement your own interface from scratch using the open interface documented in his wiki(and yes, too much work if you have no programming experience). I find it amusing that the gauge...

I think it's not that the bcs is complicated, it's flexible, and brewing is complicated. It seems like everyone does everything a little bit differently...while we all do the same general thing, we are all sort of dancing around the fire together, not really following some hard core, insert tab A in...

Have you tried a hard reset( http://www.embeddedcontrolconcepts.com/ ... Hard_Reset ) and then accessing the bcs via a directly connected ethernet cable at it's default ip address? http://169.254.0.63/
