Re: HMI Builder

This turns out to be an issue with IE9. I will fix the issue in a firmware release, but in the meantime please use Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. IE is technically not supported, although IE9 does work better than the previous versions (which don't work at all). I'll try to get this update in the next ...

Re: OSC PID debug light is blinking

The problem turned out to be incorrect markings on the pid display card itself. All of the documentation was 100% correct (which is what is reported in the thread above). However I think he followed the silkscreen on the card which is NOT correct. I've send an email to oscsys about this, and will ma...

Re: Incorrect hysteresis?

I programmed this based on your description, but it seems to be working as expected. If you email me your process file I can look at your programming in more detail.

Re: HMI Builder

What browser are you using? You need to use a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, IE9). Old IE8 won't work. clearwaterbrewers advice only applies to custom widgets (via external.js). All of the standard widgets display inactive I/O as gray. Are you using a custom external.js? Its possible that ...

Re: HMI Builder

Hi Denny. I just updated the wiki with a Getting Started section on the HMI Builder. http://www.embeddedcc.com/wiki/index.php?title=HMI_Builder I hope that makes it clearer. Does that answer your question? Are there other elements that might not be clear, that you feel should be included in the inst...

Re: Make and model of thermistor in probe

Those aren't compatible, they are type K thermocouples. The BCS uses 10k NTC thermistors:

Yes, all grounds need to be connected together. Connect BCS GND, I2C Comm 5. GND, and 12v power supply -V

Re: Incorrect hysteresis?

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I'll try to reproduce this. If you could post the processs config file, that would help, but I can easily program this and see if i get the same strange behavior. It should definitely not be switching around 37 in state1 if you have the setpoint at 38.

The laptop stand is a cool idea.

What are the 4 T's on the bottom of the control panel for?
