Setting BCS-482 Temps w Recipe Utility
I got the new BCS-482, built my processes, and am trying to set it up with the recipe utility. When I go to create a variable, the temperature set points don't show up in the dropdown. Any idea what's going on here?

Re: Relay burnt out and killed controller
Brewers Hardware offered to take a look at it and it was completely shot. I need a fix ASAP, the brewery is down to 1 fermenter on a johnson temp controller ha. Any chance to you have a stray 462 (or 460 for that matter) laying around that we could buy off you? We don't have time to wait for the new...

Re: Relay burnt out and killed controller
I think we were just pulling too much power through the relay without proper cooling. The whole thing melted, burned a hole in the enclosure, and tripped the breaker. The relay was in a separate box, so no physical damage to the BCS, but I'm guessing some AC went through the i/o lines to the BCS and...

Relay burnt out and killed controller
Emailed this to the support email, and was redirected here: Hi, Last night I had a relay burn out and now the BCS-462 won't start. No lights or anything on the box itself. I assume this means it's dead. I was going to buy a new one, but I don't see them on Brewers Hardware or Electric Brewing Supply...

Data Logging
What are the options for logging temperature to a file? I would like to track fermentation mash and temperatures so that I can save them with my batch notes. Here are my goals: -Start logging when I hit a certain step in a process -Record the temperature and setpoint of multiple probes, as well as t...

Re: Can't find BCS after updating to 4.0
Oh DHCP reservation is a good idea. It would have been nice to unplug the BCS and plug it straight into the main router, but I would have had to unwire all 30 or so inputs and outputs and i was worried about getting it all back together right, so i tried to troubleshoot in place. I was eventually ab...

Can't find BCS after updating to 4.0
I just tried to update my BCS to 4.0 and now I can't see it with the BCS finder. I waited half an hour and tried powering it off and on again, then tried doing a hard reset (each of the 15, 25, and 35 sec versions) but I still can't connect. Seems my BCS has gone to a nether world of the force. Any ...
