Re: 4-20mA and RTD support

As someone who is still in the planning stages of my automation capable brewing rig, I will add my voice to those who would love to have RTD support. I already own a number of K-couple RTD devices, and it would be great to be able to use my existing sensors with my new BCS when I buy it. I know it's...

Re: Pre-planning stages of BCS based homebrewery

The stainless kettles arrived today. Here are all 3 sitting on the dining room table with a yardstick for size reference: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/94352780/ebrew/stainlesskettles.jpg You can see just a bit of imperfections on the finish from the flash. The dog helping out with inspection ...

Re: BCS wall wort connection

Haha - I didn't intend to imply that bud light was full of flavor. Just to make sure that the record is clear. Just that it reminds me of one of my challenges to myself - make something that looks like bud light but tastes like beer. Regardless, this thread has gone pretty far from the OP's question...

Re: BCS wall wort connection

Haha - that's actually one of my challenges to myself when I start brewing again next summer. I want to brew a beer that's 4% or less ABV, nearly see-through, and full of flavor.

Re: BCS wall wort connection

Sorry for the hijack I think I caused, el_hombre, but thanks for the pics oakbarn. I'm planning on doing DIN rail for most stuff in my build, and I didn't even think about doing a DIY rail mount for the BCS.

Re: BCS wall wort connection

Broph - Your logo, name, and slogan crack me up. Current AD AF, so I can laugh at myself, right? el_hombre - I'm sure it's not "to code", but I believe some forum members have used female spade connectors of an appropriate size for the blades on the wall plug for a super space-saving desig...

Re: Reset Butto

Thanks for the description. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a larger image associated with the thumbnail, and it's pretty hard to see how it's mounted that small. From what I've been reading on here, I like the idea of throwing a switch on the BCS to power it up after the network device so t...

Re: Pre-planning stages of BCS based homebrewery

Well, I was planning to wait to start buying and building after I moved back to the US next year, but... I stumbled across an opportunity from a catering supply company in Germany for some brand new 100 liter (26.4 gallon) 1.2mm thick (18 gauge) 304 stainless steel kettles with lids. One each for HL...

Re: Reset Butto

@oakbarn - did you use the oscsys adapter, make your own, or some other? Would you mind sharing a pic of how you've got it mounted for those of us still in the planning and hopefully soon building phases?

Re: Pre-planning stages of BCS based homebrewery

Revision 3. I really don't like the cramped connectors, so flipped the panel back horizontal just to have a 16x8 panel space instead of 12x8. Rearranged the buttons, etc. I think I'll use a lighted E-Stop button instead of button and a light. Just a few dollars extra, but cleaner. For this revision ...
