Re: Advice when buying relay boards
The issue is not the relay contacts, it is the voltage that activates the relay coil, these relays, grounding the lead activates the coil.. which is non-intuitive to us BCS users, but PIC/8051/audrino folks may think differently... I can hook up the relay contacts to accommodate what you mention, an...

Re: Advice when buying relay boards
You do bring up an interesting point... Thanks! Mine is directly connected via ribbon cable in the control box, and is attached to the same power source as the BCS, originating from the 'convenience' 120V in the panel. so that would not be a problem. My 240 and 120 (or both legs of 120) for 'process...

Re: Thermometer and probe combined
They exist in 4-20mA, but that is not what the BCS takes.. I picked one of these up on eBay for $50 (bottom of page) http://www.weissinstruments.com/digital_transmitters.html it says it has a thermistor inside, but you cannot put two things on one thermistor, it has 4 wires, so not sure what is goin...

Invert output option..
Would really appreciate an 'invert output' checkbox next to the 'enable' checkbox of the system settings page. Not sure how many folks would use it or how much code it would really take to have the input show as 'OFF' but be at +5V , and show as 'ON' but be at 0V.

Advice when buying relay boards
I just replaced my two 2-channel boards with a nifty 8-channel model, and when I connected it, all the relays came on... :-( Apparently this one turns the relay on when you ground it, not take it to 5V. I suggest you make sure it has something like "IN_x: Control signal input, Low: relay OFF, H...

Re: +5VDC terminal.. is is hard wired to the PWR jack?
hmmm.. 5VDC wireless adapter that takes 400mA and BCS that takes 200mA are not reachable(but BCS works) when on same 5VDC 1700mA power supply (I had a Kyocera camera one laying around)... need to troubleshoot some more.. OK, wow... plugged all 5V stuff into a small breadboard so I could measure in-c...

Re: +5VDC terminal.. is is hard wired to the PWR jack?
Interesting.... that is why it probably does not have network connectivity when I place the load of my 5VDC powered Wireless adapter on the same power source... just goes that little extra out of spec... Thank you so much for the description of how the power works... I will be providing power from n...

Re: Problems with ebay 12v Relay Board
They do produce 5V when actuated, compared to the ground lead... My first thought is that you have insulation in a terminal connector somewhere... Troubleshooting.. turn off all outputs Test voltage at the +5VDC terminal compared to the GND terminal right next to it. Place the black probe on the scr...

Re: starting a process after power up without web UI
I think that I really do not want that process starting every time I power it up... would be nice to have a pseudo-process running that you could assign an input/proc pair other thoughts.. option 1 - yes, have the process start, but add in a pre-start state that requires the continue button to be pr...
