starting a process after power up without web UI

Is the following how I would start the main brewing process without going to the web UI when first powering up the unit? [given process 0 is working, and Din 7 is defined in this process as a 'continue' button] System Settings --> Misc --> Proc7 Force Run at Power up Process Setup - Process 7 --> na...

Re: +5VDC terminal.. is is hard wired to the PWR jack?

I just wanted to figure it out without opening it, which I can do I guess... I did probably just void my warranty (not the first time, that was powering it via USB) by hooking it up and verifying that it does work just fine being powered by the terminals and not the barrel connector ... been going f...

Re: small bus bar?

This is fairly close.. similar format to BCS, it is what the 5vdc relay boards have for input... just solder several or all terminals together, insulate, and use for common and +5VDC so that I do not have 5 wires in each of the GND terminals of the BCS.. terminals rated for 10 Amps Here is the part ...

Re: +5VDC terminal.. is is hard wired to the PWR jack?

Why not just snip the cord from the original power supply and wire that to your new 5V power distro and plug it into the BCS? I have to imagine there is a voltage regulator and some protection diodes at the input jack that probably wouldn't be in the loop if you supplied power directly to the 5V ou...

small bus bar?

I want a small bus bar for GND and +5VDC connections, the smallest thing I can find are the ones Radio Shack carries or http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=&langId=-1&productId=17421 from West Marine. What I would like is something very similar to the...

+5VDC terminal.. is is hard wired to the PWR jack?

If we wanted to provide a 'wired terminal' power input to the BCS, could we use the +5VDC and GND terminals? Background.. I want a cleaner and more volumetric-ally (sp?)solution than a wallwort plug, the outlet, and associated items.. I found a reasonable and high quality 5vdc supply that supplies 2...

Re: Are Mager SSR's 'zero-crossing'

Thanks.. Searching posts of brew and other sites, there were a few old timers out there talking bad about PWM because it would turn on the SSR in the middle of the sine wave and causing everything from poor efficiency to damage to components to global warming.... they were saying you needed phase an...

Re: Web Input?

Think of it as a 'soft switch', that can do pretty much anything a 'hard switch' can do, but no wiring required. Good for simulating how you want a hard switch to act before wiring, or for being different things for different processes you may load on your BCS, and you don't have to re-label the phy...

Are Mager SSR's 'zero-crossing'

I read a few places that nearly all modern SSR's are 'zero crossing', that is they only switch on when the AC is crossing 0 Volts. Are the Mager ones sold here and elsewhere like this? here is one reference talking about it: http://forums.netduino.com/index.php?/topic/1377-ssr-with-pwm-vs-digital-po...
