Re: Power Switch Tail 2 poor performance

When you turn on the BCS output, you should hear a small click in the pst, which is the relay closing. Do you hear the click? If not, the wiring may be incorrect.

Proper wirining is to connect + to bcs output, - to bcs gnd.

Re: Pause Process

What firmware are you running? I remember a bug a few versions back where the button didn't update to "Resume Process" when the process was paused. This is fixed in the current revision.

Re: Faulty unit or faulty user

I would recommend doing a hard reset as well. That will get you back to system defaults.

If you are still having issues, you can always send it back and we'll update the firmware and give it a checkout for the cost of shipping.

Re: Gas Valve Igniter Issue

Spark igniters can be a little tricky. The sparks can genererate enough EMI to mess with the BCS (sparks by definition are EMI, that's actually how engineers test for EMI resistance). The best remedy is to try to isolate the BCS from the spark, either by putting some distance between it, or metal ba...

Re: Fermentation Ramps

Yes, every state can control all outputs. The original poster had a issue with Ramp Mode, a feature that automatically ramps the temperature setpoint in a single state. The previous firmware only allowed the setpoint to be ramped to one output. However this has been expanded in the current firmware ...

Re: Ramp Temp not updating on Main Control Page

Agreed, it should probably be dynamic update. I'll add it to the list.

Re: Trouble updating from v1.3

One thing to try is to turn off your firewall and/or any antivirus software temporarily. They have been known to block the firmware update process.

Re: Temp Display only.

To accomplish this, you will have to open up the BCS to outside access. We have some instructions here: http://www.embeddedcc.com/wiki/index.php?title=Accessibility#Accessing_Remotely Then, in your web page, you can poll the ultemp.dat file, as you have done internally. The data definitions are defi...

Re: Temp Display only.

Ah, ok. Maybe I misunderstood your question. Are you trying to get your existing (non-BCS) website to display BCS temperatures?

There is a stripped down page on every BCS, meant for limited mobile viewing. You can look at the source to see an example.

Re: Overall Timer

Yeah, I think you're on the right track.

You can't continue the timer from Process to Process. Also, since state0 is always first, the continue is always zero (can't be set).
