Re: BCS 462 locks up
That's interesting. Can you provide more information about the environment? What browser/OS are you using? You say going to a new PC didn't help, what happened? Were you able to load the interface at all from the other PC? What did it show? It sounds like the freeze is on the client side, but going ...

Re: BCS 4.1.1 Firmware Released
Yes, you're right. Given how frequently most people upgrade an extra warning is probably a good idea.

Re: alert when upgrading firmware when backup has not been recently done
We could do this as a warning any time the firmware is upgraded. The BCS update is done via TFTP, writing the date of the update to the BCS in that process isn't really possible as far as I know.

Re: 4.1.1 Chrome Issue?
The highest valid port in IPv4 is 65535 and the BCS has a check to reject any ports higher than that. Are you sure you used 67557 and that the BCS saved that change?

Re: BCS 4.1.0 firmware released
There is an issue with PID in the 4.1.0 release. I've removed the 4.1.0 build from this post and created a new thread for 4.1.1 . This fix is the only change from 4.1.0 to 4.1.1. I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to see the updates in the main control area. I also use Mac/Chrome and those featur...

BCS 4.1.1 Firmware Released
The BCS firmware has been updated to 4.1.1 (build 429194c1).
This is a bugfix release from 4.1.0 to fix an issue with PID outputs not working properly. If coming from an older version, please see the linked post for 4.1.0 to see what's new.
This does not address the lack of negative temperatures.

Re: Issues reconnecting to network after power cycling
I've not seen or heard of this issue happening with the BCS. Have you checked the network cables? Specifically how well they're seated in the the router and BCS?

Upload them one at a time there, it will detect the difference between the system config and the processes.

Re: Connecting to BCS Remotely.
I just want to point out that opening port forwarding to any system on your network opens you up to security risks, that includes forwarding to the BCS as well as any other system. There are LOTS of people/systems out there that are constantly running port scans and trying to exploit any systems tha...

Re: alarm
I'm not sure what you mean by daisy chaining states. You should not need to use multiple states for an alarm. Each state has an alarm option and it can be set to either "Short", "Loop" or "None". If you want the alarm to continue going off until you have done something ...
