Re: Howto: Calibrate Temperature Probes

Your default coefficients will depend on the probe you use. Are they the probes that came with the BCS from Brewers Hardware? I believe the newer probes have changed from that original post. That info should be somewhere in the forums. As far as your discrepancy with the values they look OK to me in...

Re: Adding defrost cycle??

As a quick followup on this- A better solution is to add a small fan that constantly blows on the coils- This solves the issue without diving into process control.

Re: BCS 4.0 - Web Buttons?

I think I have my setup the way you want (only have one BK though). It's essentially the same idea that JonW uses but combines the boil process into the timers. My system is propane though too so it's simple- but I imagine you would just add output control to all the states if it were electric or mo...

Re: Password Change Issue

I'm still using beta 1 and it works. I had an issue a while back with my browser saving an incorrect password and loading that in when I would attempt to login. Cleared the cookies and it worked. Have you tried that?

Re: create a process Map for the Recipe utility

You looking for variable mapping suggestions? Matching process-states-outputs-inputs to another persons system is probably going to be a pain. I outlined some of my processes mapping here:

Hope it helps--

Re: Saving recipe utility settings

Another quick tip that I found this weekend-- For some reason my IP reservation for the BCS changed the last time I booted up so when I headed to the Recipe Utility it had 'lost' my setup. I recovered all the settings by simply changing the address in the 'Value' field of the Local Storage bin under...

Saving recipe utility settings

I recently got a new computer and in the process of migrating all my brewing goodies on to it I made an attempt at migrating my recipe utility settings so I didn't have to retype it all. JonW provided a brief how-to on this buried in one of the forums which I finally found so figured I'd repost his ...

Re: New User Questions

I'll give you a few examples, they helped me when I first started. 2) My pre-4.0 setup had a state setup just before my mashout would start which was a "check mash conversion" state. It essentially paused my process so that I could check that I have full conversion and get some hoses set u...
