How do I tune the PID?
OK, I searched through the forum and the Wiki using both the search tool and Google... and was surprised to find no direction on how to tune the PID. Is everyone using the default settings? Does the PID tuner in the utility work in any capacity yet? Does anyone have any straightforward guides on how...

Re: Public Beta 4.0 Beta 2 Issues
You gents probably know this, but I could not get PID temp setpoints or hysteresis values to take in Internet Explorer 11. In fact the note at the top of the page would say "Saving" forever. They would only take in Chrome.

Alternate PID removed in 4.0?
Hi guys, Just got my BCS and I am looking to control one output with two different PID tunings. This is because I want to control a RIMS with different settings for mashing (and 120V) and sparging (at 240V). I would like to change the PID tunings on the fly, and I thought that one way to do it was t...

Re: Pre-planning stages of BCS based homebrewery
I agree on the bulldozer analogy, but would be counting on the sensitive PID tuning to offset it. Hence, one of the reasons for my question. This strategy does not prevent me from adding the HLT after. For now, I am would like to stay with RIMS in order to simplify the hardware. I just wanted to kno...

Re: Pre-planning stages of BCS based homebrewery
Hi Guys, First post here, but have been lurking for a while. I am in the process of building my personal brewery in stages. In fact, every time I brew, I learn something and make hardware changes/improvements for the next time. Recently transitioned from stovetop BIAB to larger electric BIAB, now to...
