Re: Five Basic Questions
I was not thinking about gas. I wrote a little MS Access program and I have a Flame On Button so I know how long it takes to heat my strike water. Useful when planning. I started a thread on DINs under Senors et all hoping to get some insight from current users on their inputs.

DINs
As a newbie, I would like to know what DINs that you use. I would see this as a list of DINs that all users could access. What is the Input Device? Please be as specific as possible. Do you have a source? Cost? How do you use it in a process? Was there any special knowledge used to wire/use the devi...

Re: Five Basic Questions
Thanks for the answers. For example, I could have the flame detector switch http://www.amazon.com/Intelligent-3-3-5V-Detection-Switch-Sensor/dp/B00H8RLP20/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1394141437&sr=8-16&keywords=5v+switches on a DIN. When It "asserts", I could start a timer process ...

Re: Lost Comm
Thanks for the networking lesson. I am sure that most users have "outside" network support and understand little about the protocols. I am writing my own little notes and if I have come across your answer in another discussion, it would have made prefect sense. Great Answer!

Five Basic Questions
Five Basic Questions that have come to mind: Describing the BCS 462: Along with the eight temperature sensor inputs, the BCS-462 provides eight 5V discrete inputs, and four web-based user inputs. All inputs can trigger controller responses. 18 low-current 5V discrete outputs are provided for relay c...

Re: Lost Comm
I just choose one :D . The number has no meaning. I cannot see anything on "why" or "how" to choose a Static IP address. I would have assumed any in the Default Gateway range would have worked. I am trying to set this up so I can remotely access the BCS and start/stop a process s...

Re: Lost Comm
Trying to do it in steps. The DHCP assigns 192.168.0.77 I unchecked the enable DHCP and set the address to 192.168.22.77 and reset the BCS. It lost comm again and I had to do another hard reset. I do notice that the DHCP is assigning 192.168.0.77 each time after a Hard Reset. Is this a stable number...

Re: Configuration Files
Found my own answer: you find it along with the other configuration files Under "System Settings" [-} Configuration File Save/Restore Save System Settings to File - This includes all non-process related settings. You may restore your changes after you have done a hard reset and connected t...
