Re: Can't Update Firmware (Mac or PC)

I just tried again. I don't have anti-virus software on my Mac, no firewalls running, enabled File Sharing. Still nothing.

Re: Can't Update Firmware (Mac or PC)

Losing connection to the BCS is normal once you go into firmware update mode. At that point the BCS is trying to retrieve the firmware image from the IP address of the TFTP server you specified. You will only be able to access the GUI again after a power cycle to the BCS. The most likely problems a...

Can't Update Firmware (Mac or PC)

I am unable to update my firmware from version 3.4.5 to the latest 3.7.1. I have tried using my Mac running OS X 10.10.2 and TftpServer (my preferred method) and my work machine running Windows 8.1 using the HS TFTP Demo linked to from the Wiki page. In both instances, the BCS-460 goes into the upda...

Re: Temp Probe Stick

I see it now. I should've Googled the part number before posting. I thought it was a threaded fitting like the ones on Brewer's Hardware. Thanks!

Re: Temp Probe Stick

I'm not concerned with bacteria any more than I would be with the numerous other contraptions we put wort through. I didn't specify because it was pertinent to my original question, but this would be for my boil anyways. Like I said, this is exactly was I am looking for. I realize it is an old threa...

Re: Temp Probe Stick

This was a very old post. Since that time, http://www.brewershardware.com/ has offered off the shelf probes of various lengths as well as thermowells to just drop your existing probe into. The point was to use my existing probes. I was trying to avoid a thermowell. I wanted my probe in direct conta...

Re: Temp Probe Stick

Just stumbled on to this. Perfect for what I want to do. So thanks for posting it. One question: how is the compression fitting attached to the copper tube?

Thanks!

Did you leave all your settings dynamic? Or did you assign static values?

Re: WIFI Option for BCS460

Just a follow up, I set a static IP in both my router and BCS-460, corrected the subnet mask (it was defaulted to 255.255.0.0 in the BCS and my network uses 255.255.255.0), added my router address, and forwarded port 80. I'm not sure if I had to do all of that, but something in that mess worked. So ...
