Re: Auto-change process displayed on Main Control page
What if you were spawning both process 1 and 2 from process 0. Which should it go to? The problem with wanting to jump to a certain process display is problematic with determining which process should be displayed. Possibly just jump to the next running process? But what if process 1 spawns process ...

Re: LCD Touch Screen
I like having my laptop out in the garage for brewing days so I can run BeerSmith and the BCS (custome) console. I opted for a 1920x1080 stand-alone touchscreen monitor.

Re: Erratic/bouncing Temps - Brown out?
I was seeing multiple ones bounce when I had hot-connected them. I'm also seeing it a little right now on my fermenter, but I think I know why on that. I recently remoted the fermenter to the opposite side of my garage and used about 35' of wire to extend the tem probe. I used some alarm wire that I...

Re: Erratic/bouncing Temps - Brown out?
Did you attach/detach any temp probes while the BCS unit was powered up? I've found that I get very erratic results when I hot-connect temp probes. A power cycle (NOT software reboot) always seemed to correct the issue for me.

Re: 2-sec delay for recognizing Digital Input?
I brewed again today and made extensive use of the alarm output for hop additions, process changes, etc. I had to press and hold the button I put on a DIN to cancel the alarm for a good two seconds every time. It seemed like it occasionally even took longer. I know this isn't exactly a bug, but it i...

Re: relay solenoid problem
Are these SSR's rated for DC voltage (control, not input)?
If your solenoids are only 12V control, you should just use a standard relay.

Re: relay solenoid problem
It's hard to tell from your picture, but it doesn't look like your wiring is correct to me.
BCS GND to relay control (-)
BCS Out (5V) to relay control (+)
12V Power supply (+) to relay input
12V Power supply (-) to solenoid (-)
Relay output to solenoid (+)

Re: Problems with ebay 12v Relay Board
1A is plenty for the valves. Striped is usually positive.kevmo wrote:FWIW, the power supply is 12v 1a. It only works with the striped PS wire in the VDD slot. I was under the impression that striped meant it was negative.
This is why you need to use a multimeter!!

Good explanation of the difference in the way it functions.

Re: 2-sec delay for recognizing Digital Input?
I'm using a Din to cancel the hardware alarm. While it is not a full 2 seconds, I do have to push and hold it to cancel the alarm versus just being able to momentarily push it.
