Re: Help! It may be dead
What model? What firmware? Do you have a backup? Have you tried a power cycle? Simply remove power. If that does not work、try a reset to defaults. (You will lose your programming)

Re: BCS 482 Locks up
Yes. Did you use a 462/460 backup to restore the 482? I have had happen several times. I think
It may have something to do with Setpoint changes but not sure.
I would reset to defaults and build your processes and settings from scratch

Re: Import old receips files
The Restore and Backup Utility backup file is a different file than the EXPORT file for the recipe utility. You click on the recipe utility then the menu icon ( three lines: upper right) to EXPORT a recipe file. You can IMPORT the file you exported. The normal backup does not save the recipe data. I...

I had to put some of mine in metal conduit 4 feet away from some wires. You can get EMI, especially from compressors...

Mine is in C:\BCS. The finder is named finder.exe. The old 3.7 finder is in the same location but named BCSfinder.exe.

Re: Import old receips files
What BCS do you have? I do not think you can load a saved export file from the Recipe Utility from a 462 to a 482 . If you never exported and old Recipe file in the Recipe Utility, you have nothing to load.
