Re: Momentary buttons for Dins
If you are going to use DINS, I would suggest that you do not get momentary ones except to cancel an Alarm (See Ladder Logic in the Wiki). The DINs are mostly used in Ladder Logic and if momentary will trigger the Ladder Event only while depressed. You can basically make a toggle switch momentary b...

Re: Bcs 462 Control panel for 5bbl brewery, need some advice
If you just want to see if a pump or element has power, these work well http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7_33&products_id=248 If you want one with a switch, these push button ones are what I use. I just have the switch between the SSR and the Pump. Both the Out ...

Re: Bcs 462 Control panel for 5bbl brewery, need some advice
You really have not explained what you want to do with the switches for your pumps and heaters. You can find 120 vac switches at Aubrins that you can put between the SSR (controlled by an Out on the BCS 462) that is more like a Kill switch rather than control (although as long as the Out is asserted...

Re: 7-Segment displays quit working suddenly
I have tried 5 inches and about a foot but nothing works. I even broke out a brand new 7 segment display that has never been used. I have tried about every combination possible. I was going to hook up the I2C extenders but it quit before I could even test them. As you can see, i had a 5 inch cable ...

Re: 7-Segment displays quit working suddenly
The longest cable I tried was short, I cut one of the cable that interconnect two displays in half. Never tried a long cable. It failed BEFORE I tried to hook it up to an extender and longer. The cable was about 9 inches.

Re: 7-Segment displays quit working suddenly
I tried 2a, 2b, 2c and 2d. I had them all turned on and then one at a time. I powered with molex and via the I2C. I plugged the ground directly to the BCS, The 12 v (-), connected all the grounds together. I have no hair left! I replaced the harness 3 times. Got a new one and tried that. Made sure m...

Re: 7-Segment displays quit working suddenly
I got my "5 vdc issue" BCS 462back (actually a new one as that one had a bad 5 vdc regulator). Anyway, I hooked up my 7 Segment Display and it worked fine on a close connection. All of a sudden, blinking light on the back. I checked the wiring, switch the wire harness. It will not work. I ...

1500w X 110 vac = 16.5 amps = 20 amp Circuit Breaker with 12 ga wire
2000w x 110 vac = 22.0 amps = 25 amp Circuit Breaker with 10 ga wire

Re: The right heating element
1500 watts is about the "normal" max for 120 vac. Without knowing your wiring and circuit breaker, no one could suggest a heater. They have some that hang to the side and you just plug them in
