Re: BCS 4.0 .NET API and BCS Temperature Logger

Hey Broph, thanks for giving it a try! Here's my hunch - are you on a BCS460 or 462? I bet the app is requesting http://192.168.1.122/api/temp/4 and getting a 404, parsing the response and throwing an exception. That exception message is written in place of all of the temperatures and thus, destroy...

Re: BCS 4.0 .NET API and BCS Temperature Logger

I just tried the new version (never tried the previous one). The App does get the temp probes names from the BCS (they show up in your app and the log file), but when I hit the stop button and review the file created it shows a 404 error for each entry. Other than the temp probe names from the BCS n...

Re: Help with RIMS mash process

Hey Brew Enthusiasts, I have been limping along for about a year with some pretty horrible process files. Since I have a few days before my next brew, I'm wondering if those of you with RIMS systems would please help me clean them up. I'm trying to write a cleaner step mash process from MASH IN to ...

Re: 462 not "active"

If you are using Powerline adapters try unplugging all adapters (even the ones not plugged into the BCS) from their wall outlets for a few seconds and then plug them back in.

Re: Can't find BCS after updating to 4.0

Have you also tried to find your BCS using your router to locate the IP address that has the same MAC address as BCS box, or created a DHCP reservation? from: http://docs.embeddedcc.com/#accessing-the-bcs "Depending on your router, you may also be able to locate the IP address given to your BCS...

Re: Problem with Mini/Nano Routers

You'd be better off using something like a D-Link Powerline adapter ( http://www.amazon.com/D-Link-Systems-PowerLine-Network-DHP-306AV/dp/B004SBI2BG/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1446650108&sr=8-6&keywords=d-link+powerline ) . I've tried many wireless adapters (Apple Airport Express, Dlink wire...

Re: Pre-planning stages of BCS based homebrewery

I've been using my BCS-460 for over 5 years now... before that a friend loaned me a PID box that he built. I am continually amazed that I've been using the BCS this long and that with firmware updates it keeps going in a good direction... One of the strengths to me for the BCS is the ability to moni...

Re: Can't Update Firmware (Mac or PC)

Is the MAC w/TFTP server on wireless as well? Is it on the same wireless network? I recently helped someone with a printing problem. They were able to print from this printer, but all of a sudden they couldn't. We found that the MAC found another wireless network to use while they were in a differen...
