Glad to hear that it works.
My alter ego on HBT nailed it amazingly 3 minutes before Adam who actually knows what he is talking about.
just tooting my own horn!

So simple a caveman could use it.

Re: My BCS controlled system
Nice set-up!
Are those March pumps the poly head version and if so are the mounted to the frame structure or just suspended by the pipes? My point being that the plastic heads might not handle the load & vibration.

Re: Is my BCS dead?
Make sure your subnet & gateway numbers are the same as the BCS.
Also when I have connectivity problems with my network the first to do is shut everything down and restart - I know that might be obvious but sometimes in the heat of battle people forget that.

Next upgrade idea
Not really my idea as I just read the postings from here http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/programming-question-150015/ I really like the new gauges but sometimes I am trying to read the temps from a distance and can't see them. Having the option of Giant digital number readout would be awesome. Gauge...

Re: Dum dum question about controlling 220V.
Newbie here, another dum dum question reguarding SSR and 220V. If a heating element requires 20 amps (5000w) and you have a SSR on just one leg is it still 20 amps going thru the single SSR? Also I saw a post (somewhere) that you should use a higher rated SSR that actual load. Is that a true statem...

Re: Problem w/ Temp gauge on ECC
Try a hard reset on the box. Usually a good step with computers to fix weirdness, that or drop it on the floor!
Not sure if you need to save your settings or not before doing that.

Re: v2.0 Firmware now available!
I doubt I will ever really understand all the features on the BCS but so far really like it. The new gauges will let me use a machine that I was unable to update with java. My RIMS heater using the older version PID controlled my heating element and I finally dialed in the fact that I have to run it...

Re: v2.0 Firmware now available!
I have no clue how to use the new features, maybe a BCS for dummies explanation would be in order!
I did however do the update without creating a brick out of it, the MAC TFTP is a bit convoluted but I managed to stumble through the process.

I am not an electrician so I am asking not giving advice here.
Your diagram shows the ground coming from the 50amp GFCI going to a ground output from the BCS. Is this required? Is this safe? Not seen this before.
